Nothing feels better than glowing, healthy complexion. As a make-up lover I was underestimating skin care role in my life. I was a 2-step cleanser+moisturiser beauty routine kind of girl who was covering herself under tones of make-up, laughing at others at the age of 20 starting to use anti-aging skin care products. And here I am now, still in my early 20’s being overly excited with new products and formulas.

With my, now, 7-step both morning and night beauty routine (it’s been a loooong journey), here are my top 5 products that I’ve tried and have seen amazing results on myself*.

*I have a combination and sensetive skin with tendency to clogged pores.

1. Sunday Riley Good Genes Glicolic Acid Treatment, 30ml, £85

Glicolic acid is basically a solution to every nightmare and mistake you have made during your youthful period – bad lifestyle choices, acne, sun over-exposion, and unavoidable pollution. This amazing serum made my skin radiant, firm and visibly brighter. I use it every morning before moisturiser, after washing and toning my face.

2. Pixi Retinol Tonic, 250ml, £18

I mentioned this product in my October favorites (link) and I got so obsessed with it that now I can’t believe how I managed to live without this tonic. Retinol is a super-multitasker – it’s essential in acne treatment, brightens and evens the skin tone and is anti-ageing. Added jasmine flower extract protects and neutralises irritation that can appear during retinol use. I use this tonic daily after cleansing.

3. Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream, 15m, £65.00

A little goes a long way! This moisturiser changed my make-up game – I use a tiny amount of this cream after applying serums in the morning and night. The Rich Cream is rich in Argan, Avocado and Evening Primrose Oil to leave your face hydrated and glowing from within.

4. Tata Harper Clarifying Cleanser, 125ml, £63.00

If I would ever consider myself proud of ‘discovering’ a 100% and autentic brand, it would be over Tata Harper. Previous oily/combination skin type focused cleansers I used, left my skin feeling tense, dehydrated and slighly irritated, but since I started using this Clarifying Cleanser, I don’t have this problem.

5. Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-clarifying face oil, 35ml, £68

Yet another mulitasker on my list – this Sunday Riley U.F.O. Face Oil rich in salicylic acid not only exfoliates, helps with acne and blackheads treatment, but prevents from spot causing dirt and bacteria causing future break-outs. I use it instead of Good Genes Serum during my night time routine after toning.

6. Tata Harper Clarifying Mask, 30ml, £68

Salicylic acid is my becoming my favorite ingredient! This 100% natural and nontoxic mask is also powered by AHA peeling formula, so you will definitely notice pore visibility and redness reduction. I use this mask once or twice a week, depending of my needs, leaving it for 15 minutes and then massaging for exfoliating and peeling effect.

As two months ago I really struggled with a texture on my face, I decided to drastically change my face skin care rutine, but still kept it very simple, and after two weeks I started to already see the difference.

I started from…. yes, food. I realized that for the past few months I have been eating junky food, like ice-creams, sweets and chips every second day, although they were plant based and usually ‘healthy’ I assumed that these ‘healthy’ snacks and stress are the main reason for my skin to change.

I decided to minimize these snacks to maximum once a week and decided to come back to eating one salad a day (if you are my follower on Instagram, you are familiar with 1 SALAD A DAY KEEPS A DOCTOR AWAY posts). Also I start and finish my day with a big glass of water with lime, as I read somewhere that lemons are modified limes (and I’m that crazy to replace lemons with limes after I found out).

I also try to work out at least three times a week, as sweating it out is the best way to clean your skin, not to mention the calming advantages of phisical ativities.

When it comes to skin care, I always try to keep it very simple and group it into four main sections – cleansing, moisturizing, exfoliating and serums.

I wear make-up almost every day and when it comes to cleansing my face, I look for products that do remove my make-up as well. When I found out about Moringa Cleansing Balm by Emma Hardie, I decided I need it in my life. It’s extra easy to use under the shower and it removes easly even waterproof mascara (which I sometimes struggled with) and leaves skin glowing and moistruized.

I’ve been using Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre for over a year and I can’t live without it. It’s quickly absorbing and perfec as multitasker. I use it as a face mask if my skin is extra needy for nourish and in my everyday make-up rutine as a moisturizer – a generous doze of this cream works better than any primer, leaving your skin glowing from within.

Exfoliation is the most important for me, because it gets rid of deas skincells which unclogges pores and makes your skin breath easier. That’s why I use three different products, dependidng on my needs.

For everyday shower exfoliation I use Nip+Fab Glycolic Scrub Fix Extreme 6%, twice a week, although when I first started using it, I did it once a week or even one and a half of week for 1st month. I’m very careful with that product as it’s mechanical exfoliator – I massage a small amount of it into my face, neck and decolettage very gently.

Soap&Glory Scrub Your Nose in It is a product I reach for, when in need of chemical exfoliation, which is much deeper than mechanical. It’s extra affortable and works wonders, especially if you struggle with blackheads, like me. I use it not more than two to three times a month. And as on packaging it’s suggested to leave it on your skin for 2 minutes, I need to admit I leave it for at leats 5.

Once a week, usually during lazy Saturday afternoon, I use Silver Skin Saviour Omorovicza. I used it first time, when I received a sample from Cult Beauty and constantly I knew I need to have it in my skin products collection. It has exfoliating, balancing, anti-blemish and color evening properties and always leaves my skin with feeling fresh, nourished and clear, which is really important for me, especially during romantic weekends. Pricey

Sunday Riley U.F.O. serum is definately a master of multitaskers when it comes to serums – puryfies, sooths redness and moisturizes at the same time, leaving your skin radiant and clean, not to mention its amazing ingredients list. It can be used as nigh or day serum, depending on your preferences. At first, smell wasn’t my favorite, but I got used to and started liking this deep, herbal sent. I used it every second night during first two weeks of using, extending it to every night by now.

I’ve been quite crazy in terms of make-up lately and some product that have been on my to try (aka buy) make-up list for long… well I’m in progress of shorting that list A LOT! Few weeks ago I purchased 4 of them and now, after several tries I can honestly recommend them! All of them, of course, are cruelty free!

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in CHAMPAGNE POP

This legendary highlighter is available in many shades, but I decided on buying the one that matches all the skin tones, as this is my first product from BECCA. I replaced my ABH Sugar Glow Kit with it, as BECCA formula is more creamy and less irritating for me (I have really sensetive eye and cheekbone area!). And most important – it’s extra buildable – gives you that juicy, natural glow, but if you are a blinding highlight person, just apply another layer, as it will blend into your skin like a dream!

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder in 1 FAIR

I admire Charlotte as an artist, business woman and amazing, uplifting others person. Last year I tried her product and there was no other option – I fell in love! I decided to purchase this Micro-Powder, as I have combination skin, and baking powders are perfect for my T-Zone area (Laura Mercier is still my best), but it exaggerates my dry skin and makes it feel even drier on my cheeks, under-eyes and jaw line. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder gives that smooth, silky finish with hydrating and flexible feeling on your face. It’s buildable, which makes it perfect for touch-ups. Although it’s in 3 shades, it has a translucent vibe to it, which made me skip the swatch photo (but also perfect to set up a cream contour).

Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick in Rum Punch

This lipstick is just amazing! I did a wear test and it lasted around 4 hours, surviving 1 meal without any touch-up, it’s comfortable, not extremely drying and rich in color. It may be a little bit too dark for upcoming Spring, but when applied first on your finger with lip balm and blended in with tap motions from centre of your lips to corners, it gives your look a lively, natural touch.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Contour in Mink

I was quite surprised with its intense, deep color and was a little bit afraid that it may turn out too dark for me, but it blends so effortlessly and seamlessly, in perfect cold brown tone, that I can not imagine cream contouring without that babe!
