Chanel announced the end of fur and exotic skin, which makes it the first luxury fashion house in the world to do that! Chanel is also one of the first fashion companies, which presented us the close-up to Fall trends a year in advance. The show took place in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York just few hours ago. Karl Lagerfeld as a creative director took inspiration from Antient Egypt (10 BC Temple of Dendur setting as the backdrop!) and New York itself, keeping the of the iconic tweed fashion giant.
We can spot slim, ivory dresses layered with overscaled jackets, amazing jewellery and metallic accessories (especially hats!). Althrought most of the looks were soaking in sandy golds, we can spot a touch of color – Nile River blue and sunny oranges. It was also an amazing surprise to see Pharrell Williams debuting in total gold look on runway!
When I was creating that look, I was thinking about an independent women, aka GIRLBOSSES. Layering, neutral colors and winter outfits does NOT mean boring!
Either you are working in office, or want to look extra important and dramatic during afternoon drinks, oversizing is a perfect solution to show that – I choose oversized , extra long coat and corduroy navy trousers (these babies are wide leg, but I sized them up to add more drama).
I wore extra soft roll neck underneath my boyfriends white shirt to create even more intensive ‘layering’ look. I loved it so much, that I need to try it with pair of mum jeans and trainers!
And accessories. Bucket bags are a BIG THING now. I decided to add some ‘warm’ contrasting color to my grey-toned outfit, and this toffee bag is doing amazing job.
Temperature is dropping slowly, and as much as I love sundresses and sandals I need to make peace with tights and layering.
I have decided to spice up my ‘boring’ grey look with bright blue bag. 💙
