Trends that will keep you warm and stylish during Winter

fashion January 7, 2020

Fashion can be crazy. We’ve all seen and heard stories about bloggers and fashion influencers running on the streets of New York during Fashion Week in the highest and most uncomfortable heels ever, or choosing strappy sandals in -10 degrees weather, passing out because of hypothermia.

Luckily, this season there are weather appropriate trends that will keep you warm and stylish at the same time!

combat boots

Combat boots go very well with almost everything, and you don’t need more than skinny jeans and leather coat to pull them off. But they will work great with flowery midi dress and trench combo (Anna inspired), or pleated skirt and knitted vest. It’s the biggest blessing for me, as my feet won’t stand high heels for more than few hours (and by few, I mean the number really close to 1).

leather trousers

Straight legged trousers are my personal winner, when it comes to trends this season. They are a big statement themselves and can play main role in the outfit, but can play a great basic at the same time, paired with statement ruffled top or PCV boots. Leather goods can definitely be a bigger investments, but it’s always good to check your local second hand shops for unique designs!

knitted co-ords

Who would predict that cosy knitted co-ords will happen to be one of the sexiest trends in 2020? Style it with a boxy office bag or a statement sneakers to complement your knit matching situation. Knits can feel baggy, so if you want to accent your curves, wrap heavy belt or simply tuck your top in the bottoms. And I would’ve forgotten – you can style them separately, preferably with other trends mentioned!

chunky cardigans

Surprisingly, cardigan had its’ biggest moment last Summer, when lots of Instagram models, including Bella Hadid, posted tones of pictures wearing micro knits as tops. This Winter season it evolved into a chunky, heavy cardigan, serving its’ desired purpose – making us extra cosy and warm in the rainy or snowy times.

grandad vest

Vests are another surprisingly practical trend that appeared this season. Going the classic way, you can style them with an oversized shirt and wool palazzo trousers. But I see them mixed with all the trends I mentioned on this post – oversized and chunky, with matching knitted top underneath, paired with leather trousers and combat boots.

My November/December wish list

fashion November 12, 2019

Creating shopping lists every month helps me re-consider functionality of my wardrobe (and not only) and keep on track all my expenditures. This season I really want to focus on much needed self-care, organisation and mentioned already functionality (aka no high heeled boots).

1. Retrofête Veronica sequined chiffon midi skirt

Definately the biggest MUST, especially during the festive season. Statement skirt, like this Retrofête bright sequin skirt will help in creating many jaw-dropping looks – paired either with white t-shirt or animal print turtle neck, will definitely be a good investment.

2. ban.do 17-month Planner

I feel my best when I’m organized! In the past I owned two ban.do planner and recently listened to Almost 30 podcast with the founder of these hopeful and cheerful brand. The planner is wood-free, has jaw-dropping design, fun stickers and most importantly, enough space to write down all your daily tasks and goals! Nothing makes me want to get one for unapologetically comming 2020.

3. Gisou honey infused hair oil

Negin Mirsalehi was the first influencer I fallowed on Instagram back in 2016 and when I found out about her Gisou brand I knew I needed to try it! Especially with the beautiful story behing the product. She combined her fathers’ beekeeping skills passed for six generation in her family and her mothers’ passion for making her own hair products as a hairdresser.

4. Agolde Pinch Waist Jeans

I think I mentioned it at least 100 times – I’m totally in love with AGOLDE denim. It’s amazing quality and perfect vintage fit – they look amazing styled with high heels and statement shirt and they keep everything in place, making you feel more confident than ever. I stan!

5. Dr Martens Rixon Made in England

I just realized that all my winter boots, excluding my hiking shoes, are high heeled, which is not really functional. That’s why I decided to place these legendary Dr Martens boots as priority on my shopping list.

Trench is every woman’s best friend

fashion November 5, 2019

Trench coat game was never so strong! You’ve probably seen it everywhere this season. Luckly for us, it’s not a one-time trend that’s going to end up at the bottom of your wardrobe and forgotten.

It’s timeless and classic. Will be appropriate for any occassion, starting from after gym to leaving the party throw on. It can be up and down dressed very easly, and also, can be worn as a dress.

You can find trenches in every shop and every price range. As it’s a timeless piece, you will definately wear for more than few seasons – it’s not a sin to spend a reasonable amount of money on it, as it will serve you for ages! If you’re lucky to already be in possesion of this amazing chic rain coat, I would suggest to look for an additional one with statement accents, like exaggerated A-line shaped or two toned trenches.

How do you style trench coat this season?

Mixing two latest trends – trench and total denim look is an absolute must! Complete a straight leg jeans over a favorite heeled boot and denim shirt look with this classic throw on and statement geometrical bag.

Every winter deserves total nude looks, which are build by a total classic basics from your wardrobe and trench will play a very important role!

I’m also obsessing over trench coat styled with super-casual accents, like a favorite rock band t-shirt or flared jeans and 70’s platform shoes.

5 pieces that will help you survive this Winter

fashion October 24, 2019

You may know it already, but I’m a big believer in amazing quality base, that’s easy to style up with pieces that are more of the statement characteristics. I’m also a big believer of season-fluid clothes and accessories, like blazer, or oversized jumper, which can be worn during summer nights and used as a perfect layering tools. Although wearing ankle-lenght coat during summer is not a good idea, but I can’t say I haven’t seen it already.

As much as I would like to deny it, 4°C in the morning won’t allow me – winter is comming, and it’s done with the small steps! And, as I’m planning to progressively build my wardrobe with amazing classic pieces, some of them season-fluid I decided to share with you.

Straigh-leg jeans are ESSENTIAL in every womans wardrobe, regardless of season. They’re ideal to create an illusion of slimmer and taller silhouette, not to mention comfort of loose fit leg and easy styling.

I think I don’t need to explain why you need scarves in your wardrobe during winter, but as Christmas is comming, I can suggest that good quality scarf is an amazing gift option!

oversized sunglasses

Oversized eyewear will never go out of style, just like micro sunnies, but what makes XXLs special, they can cover any bad mistakes from the night before, either if you pick classic shape or go extra!

wool coat

I wouldn’t survive winter without a cozy wool jacket – pieces that you will struggle to create a good layering without. Lately I’m very into utility and military style coats, but a classic ankle lenght coat is a MUST investment for years!

nude sweaters

Nude and cream jumpers will work perfectly with denim and deeper brown shades. Don’t be afraid of sizing regural fit jumpers even 2 to 3 numbers up for boyfriend fit.

Ankle boots I’m obsessed with this season

fashion October 22, 2019

Flats, high heeled, mid heeled and kitten heels, rounded, square or pointed toe boots are main players during cold Fall/Winter season! This time I will focus on ankle boots – they can be an investment for years if not for decades. Ankle boots are the perfect attribute to transfer your summer dress into winter outfit, but also will work perfect with any type of trousers as well!

I picked 9 of my favorite options for this season – there’s an option for everyone!

5 under £500 – coat edition

fashion October 5, 2019

Coat/trench season is officialy annouced. If you are looking for timeless, classic solutions with a twist, here is the list of 5 coats, that I will definately be purchasing this season.

This double breasted coat definately reminds me of black&white pictures of my Grandma taken by Grandad in 50’s, so I couldn’t imagine it without beret, cute micro-bag and kitten heels.

I love multi-tasking! This coat will do it’s job paired with anything underneeth, but will also look amazing worn as a dress! Just like in the picture, all you need is high heels or knee-lenght animal print boots.

Fall/Winter wouldn’t be the same without total-black looks, which you are going to see in every corner of the street. Why don’t stand out with a strong total-white game? This amazing ivory trench coat with beautifully profiled waist will definately help you to achieve this look!

This sporty coat will be a perfect statement for every busy and active woman! If you’re going for gym class, groceries or hiking date and still want to look well put together, this long jacket is your answer!

When I saw this trench coat, I fell in love immiediately – it’s never going to go out of style, but it’s double layered collar makes it stand out. Plus this perfect warm tone of grey – double win!
