Square-toed shoes are already taking over the Street Style for quite a while, but are still growing bigger and bigger! It all started from inspiration by 80’s strappy sandals, which took everyone by storm! This time it’s all about modern, and timeless design, which makes them the perfect investition in your wardrobe (I know, yet another one).
Square-toed shoes may not be everyones kind of tea, but they are definately a style worth considering, especially if you are the minimalist lover, but they will also find a honorable place for those with crazy passion for jaw-dropping looks. So…
How to style them?
The firts rule of fashion is: There are no rules! So simply have fun and take risks, as you only have limited days on this Earth. Either if it’s classic tailored suit or the mega-oversized one in neon orange, slip dress or floral maxi styled with lots of jewellery, square-toed shoes will be an amazing elevation for minimalistic and extra classy looks, as well as for these with a twist!
You can find them in almost every price range – starting from high-street, medium shelf and high-end, so if you’re not sure of this style, but still want to try if it works for you, you don’t have to spend a little fortune on them!
As you know, I’m a big fan of investing in classic (and statement) pieces, but I’m very passionate about sustainbility. My motto is – if you won’t wear it at least 100 times, don’t buy it, regardless if it’s a jumper purchased in second hand or a pair of designer shoes.
This time I decided to focus on denim jeans – we all have at least 5 pairs of these, and cotton is the most common, most loved and, unfortunately, most polluting fabric in the world (you can find out more in my post Cotton – wise wardrobe guide).
I picked 4 pairs of jeans, which are classic, but interesting and are amazing to create many outfits – from cozy coat + sweater looks to party top + kitten heels outfit. These will be amazing for not only Fall but all year around and are in classic shape and design, which will make you love them even more – they will never go out of style and will serve you for years!
With the phase of neons during Spring/Summer season, we are upgrading to quite shocking color trends for Fall/Winter – bright reds and lavender, which usually are associated with vacation and holiday outfit picks.
Well… there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of Summer nostalgia. Colorfull accessories will definately brighten up every cold and grey day and will look extremaly interesting and eye-catching with basic looks, like total white or black, or classic white tee and jeans outfit.
